Symptom

You desire to save an LUW from your Inbound Queue (SMQ2) for future analysis.

This may be particularly useful for an error analysis or to assist in a investigation of the SAP Support.

The saved LUWs will be removed from the Inbound Queue and saved to transaction SMQ3 (Saved Inbound Queue).

Environment

  • SCM APO Release Independent
  • SAP ERP Release Independent

Resolution

Saving a Queue to SMQ3

To save an LUW to SMQ3, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Inbound Queue at transaction SMQ2 and locate the failed (SYSFAIL) queues.

  5. A confirmation popup will appear. Confirm your decision.
  6. The queue will be restored to SMQ2.

Important: the scheduler will try to reprocess the queue so it may be necessary to unregister the Inbound Scheduler (SMQR) to be able to debug the queue in SMQ2.
