When configuring S/4Hana Embedded EWM Advanced Shipping and Receiving:

• You enter a new sales area for a customer role in transaction BP but get an error message - Error Message CVIC_UI010 Sales Area xxxx xx xx in not available for business partner xxxxxxx

Reproducing the Issue

1. Transaction BP
2. Select Business Partner
3. Select customer role: FLCU01 Customer 
4. Switch to change mode
5. Sales and Distribution tab
6. Fill in Sales Area - Sales Org./Distribution Channel/ Division
7. Save
8. Error: Error Message CVIC_UI010 Sales Area xxxx xx xx in not available for business partner xxxxxxx

Resolution

1. Transaction BP
2. Select Business Partner
3. Select customer role: FLCU01 Customer
4. Switch to change mode
5. Sales and Distribution tab
6. Select Sales Area button
7. Create sales area - Sales Org./Distribution Channel/ Division
8. Select sales area xxxx/xx/xx and transfer
9. Fill in required fields and save
