I have Fixed Bin put-away strategy setup and also validating capacity check.
Client wants to put-away first in the Fixed Bin and then to reserve storage bin (it's a storage section defined in the Fixed Bin Storage Type) for the remaining quantity. However system do not put-away in Fixed bin if the incoming quantity is more than the available room in the storage bin, it puts-away entire quantity in the reserve.
How can I resolve this issue? I need to split the put-away WT and placed in Fixed Bin first.
You can not split put-away within the same storage type (even though you have different storage sections).
However you can split the put-away WT between different storage types.
Create a new storage type instead of defining a storage section and also define put-away storage section search sequence.......re-try, it will work.

Even though you activate it at Storage Type level, it only splits between the Storage Types not between the storage section within the same storage type.
I tested it multiple times. But if you can please post your solution with screen shot with a working use case, I could belive in that will work, otherwise, in my onion/as per my tests; it does not work.
