SAP has now delivered a major standard solution in area of EWM Manufacturing integration for staging against PMR Items for both Single & Cross Orders. Now, customers can leverage the functionality of ''Staging Quantity'' as per PMR quantity for both Single & Cross Order items not from /SCWM/PSASTAGE table, a major breakthrough, which earlier was achieved using Badi for Staging.
This is achievable by SAP note-3321845 - Advanced Production Integration: Enhancement to Order-Based Quantity Calculation Type
Problem Statement-When using PMRs, we can define the qty calculation in the control cycles (/SCWM/PSASTAGE). However, there is no calculation method that takes the exact order quantities into account. Currently a customer own BAdI implementation is necessary.
Therefore, a SAP standard solution is highly needed to also have a new calculation method "exact quantities" available for single-order and cross-order staging methods. In cross-order staging all exact quantities need to be accumulated.
The note is applicable to1909 and + version. This note introduces a new calculation type in /SCMW/PSASTAGE table to stage quantity from PMR( Manufacturing Order)
Lets replicate the whole scenario how it works for PMR with single and cross order items
Order 1000065 is created with 2 items.
Staging task = PMR quantity=48 pcs. System read the new calculation method from /SCWM/PSASTAGE table.
Staging task = PMR quantity=48 pcs. System read the new calculation method from /SCWM/PSASTAGE table for cross Order as well.
How to maintain PSA Stable table for this New Calculation Type?
Maintain the table as below for Cross Order. Its important to maintain Min Prod Qty as PSA and UOM and WPT, otherwise task will not be created.
Note--> For Cross Order, WPT is determined from /SCWM/PSASTAGE table not from configuration of WPT determination.
For single Order, maintain /SCWM/PSASTAGE table as below. Min qty and UOM is required. Its up to business how they decide to maintain min qty at PSA.
How system cumulates quantity for against Manufacturing Orders for Cross Order Items?
Perform the staging against 96 PCS for 2 cross items. System created task per expectation. 2 task for 48 PCs for each Cross Order items
Definitely, this is booster for customers whose production staging model is per Manufacturing Order, not from Min Max Table. This is somewhat hybridization of delivery based integration model now.
Thanks for reading. All tests have been performed in S/4 HANA 20222 Embedded EWM Sandbox system.
