2496895 - Available quantity level is not supported at storage bin and pick point
Symptom
- You use Layout Oriented Storage Control
- When you try to activate Pick Point for a Bulk storage type you get the following error message:
"Available quantity level is not supported at storage bin and pick point" (Message no. /SCWM/LT371)
Environment
- SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SCM-EWM)
- SAP Extended Warehouse Management Warehouse Order Processing (SCM-EWM-WOP)
Cause
It is not possible to set up a storage type with available quantity on bin level AND pick point relevant.
If you use pick points, and a picking WT is created for an PDO, than a source HU has to be determined by the system, and an additional HU-WT for the movement of exactly this HU from the bin to the pick-point is created as well.
But, if available quantity is on bin level, no source HU is determined during picking.
Resolution
You can set up Process Oriented Storage Control and move the HU to a packing work center.
If the packing step requires the HU completion in a work center, an internal step can be used. The new step must be assigned to the intermmediate storage type.
