A long time passion project "EWM Wiki"..

Ayhan Akkaya -Platinum SAP ECC & S/4HANA - EWM Solution Architect

I have been in SAP WM - Warehouse Management nearly 30 years now. I began with R/2 AS400 main-frame system, sounds like stone age.

Since 2008, I'm working with SAP EWM - Extended Warehouse Management. I was the first student of SAP EWM Training class in Houston, TX. Glen Gordon was our instructor and we were trained on SCM EWM 5.0... shortly after 5.1 then 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 9.0, 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, 9.4 are released, now we have Embedded EWM on S/4HANA with 9.5, 9.6 stand-alone versions.

Very soon we will have S/4HANA EWM stand-alone and I will be implementing it in my current project with IBM.

Working 30 years strictly with SAP WM & EWM made me gain unbelievable experience in Supply Chain Management and particularly in Warehouse Management solutions. In the last 30 years, I worked in varies industries such as; Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Health Care, Food, Consumers Packaged Goods, Aerospace, Defense & Military, Airlines, Ceramics & Tiles, Cement, Central Banking, Public Sector, Utilities, Automotive & Parts, Wholesale Distribution Centers, Apparel & Fashion industries .

I thought I should create an online tool to share my knowledge with others, young consultants and also exchange knowledge between the seasoned SAP's Supply Chain professionals.

I hope you find this platform and my knowledge transfer helpful. But please keep in mind that these are only my experience and my resolutions for the problems that I had in the past. It may not exactly work for you as it is described here.

Because of this, you always have to contact to SAP directly before you cause more issues in your system.

Best regards,

P.Eng Ayhan Akkaya
